Meet Our Founder

Mosholu Children's Academy was founded by Apostle Dr. Violet Wallace, an educator, leader, author, and community advocate with a passion for transforming lives through education.

Her vision is to create an institution that develops future leaders through academic excellence, faith, and service.

Mosholu Children’s Academy was created in direct response to a persistent and urgent educational gap in the Bronx. Too many students in our communities continue to face limited access to high-quality, consistent, and individualized educational environments that prepare them for long-term academic success and leadership. MCA is designed to change that reality.

Our school provides a rigorous K-12 academic model combined with character development, leadership training, and college and career readiness programming. We are building a learning environment where students are known individually, challenged academically, and supported holistically.

Beyond academics, MCA is committed to long-term community transformation; equipping students not only to succeed in school, but to lead in life and contribute meaningfully to the Bronx.
